Our Seed team will attend UNGA80 to champion investment in the health workforce as a smart solution to building resilience and stability, especially during this time of limited global health funding.

Across many events throughout the week our team will deliver speeches, participate in fireside chats, join panels, and speak at Q&A sessions to advocate for investment in the health workforce.

1. Goals House – Beyond Aid: Financing Health Systems for Impact and Growth

Monday, September 22, 2025: private event, invite-only

Hosted by Seed Global Health and partners at Goals House, this event will explore a new vision for development: one that replaces fragmented, short-term aid with investments in strong national systems that deliver lasting, measurable results.

Our event will feature voices from across sectors to challenge outdated models and build support for a smarter, more sustainable path forward.

2. Frontline Health Workers Coalition – A New Vision for the Health Workforce: Addressing NDCs, global health security and emergencies

This panel event hosted by the Frontline Health Workers Coalition and partners will explore a new vision for the health workforce amid overlapping challenges and increasing demands on health workers.

Speakers from across the health workforce, NGOs, governments, donors, and multilaterals will share pragmatic, sustainable solutions as we re-envision the future of the health workforce to meet the multitude of challenges faced.
 
Speakers will include Seed Country Director Uganda, Irene Atuhairwe.

3. Devex Impact House @ UNGA80 – Catalysts for Change: Cross-Sector Solutions for Climate-Resilient Health Systems

4. Foreign Policy Health Forum

Wednesday, September 24, 2025 @ Studio Gather NYC and virtual

Seed Global Health will co-host a session at the Foreign Policy Health Forum, focusing on the future of global health financing.

Speakers will include our CEO, Dr. Vanessa Kerry.

5. Roundtable Prepared to Respond: Investing in Health Workforce Readiness and Resilience in a Volatile World

Thursday, September 25, 2025, 9:00 AM: private event, invite only

This Seed roundtable in partnership with Johnson & Johnson will address the question of how governments, the private sector, and civil society can fortify health systems and better equip frontline workforces to respond to the growing, complex health needs and climate-related emergencies we face.

Attendees will identify innovative financing and policy solutions, align cross-sector partnerships, and boost the visibility of frontline health workers on international agendas, especially in the lead-up to the World Health Summit, COP30, and beyond.

6. Semafor Summit – The Next 3 Billion
