A statement of solidarity with our global health community
Health systems worldwide and the communities they serve are under immense pressure. Seismic shifts in U.S. policy have created massive global funding gaps, resulting in millions of poor and vulnerable men, women, and children being cut off from healthcare services and basic medicines.
And yet, one truth remains unchanged: strong, resilient health systems make all of us healthier and safer. Disease knows no borders, and we are only safe if everyone is safe. Investing in safeguarding and strengthening the world’s health systems is more than a compassionate gesture, it makes everyone more secure.
At Seed Global Health we are stepping up to meet the moment: our mission to strengthen health systems by training and supporting the highest-quality health workers is more vital than ever before. Because a well-trained health workforce is the foundation of strong, resilient health systems, economic protection and growth, job creation, and global and national security.
Long-term investments in doctors, nurses, and midwives are essential to ensuring access to quality care and protecting the health of populations, economies, and countries worldwide. Because everyone, everywhere deserves access to a health professional we’d trust our own family with.
We remain deeply committed to our partners—governments, academic institutions, and frontline health providers—who work tirelessly to deliver life-saving care in the most complex environments. Together, we are equipping health workers with the skills, knowledge, and resources they need to meet today’s urgent health needs and prepare for those of tomorrow.
Despite the uncertainty that lies ahead, our resolve is stronger than ever. We are working closely with our partners to understand the impacts and ensure continuity of care. And one thing is certain: We will continue to stand alongside our partners, advocate for the health workforce, and drive sustainable solutions that improve health outcomes globally.
We remain unwavering in our pursuit of a healthier, more just and equitable world.
