Andrew C. Musoke Joins Seed as Chief Operating Officer
Seasoned public health and management expert to lead strategy, programming, and operations
Seed Global Health welcomes Andrew C. Musoke as our first-ever chief operating officer, part of a longer-term strategy to expand Seed’s global reach, operations, programming, and impact. Andrew brings to the role a notable career in health systems strengthening and nonprofit management, with a focus on operational excellence.

As chief operating officer, Andrew will lead strategy, operations, and programming for the organization, ensuring we achieve our impact, growth, and performance goals. Working with leaders across Seed, Andrew will help maximize our strategic partnerships and programs in Malawi, Sierra Leone, Uganda, and Zambia as well as our global impact.

Prior to Seed, Andrew served in several leadership roles at the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), including managing global financial operations and leading a multi-disciplinary team of experts to support Uganda’s Ministry of Health to introduce new drugs, vaccines, and diagnostics into the public and private sectors, conduct market shaping for essential medicines, optimize health supply chains, and design health policy and strategy.
In 2020, Andrew was elected board chair of Uganda’s Global Fund Country Coordinating Mechanism, where he oversees a budget of more than $800 million to support the fight to end HIV, TB, malaria, and COVID-19. He previously served as chair of AIDS Development Partners in Uganda.
Andrew has a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Macalester College.
Seed Global Health focuses on health systems strengthening and transformation through long-term investments and training of the health workforce. Over the last decade, we have helped educate more than 34,000 doctors, nurses, and midwives in seven countries, helping to improve health care for more than 73 million people.
