International Women’s Day 2016

On March 8th, we observe International Women’s Day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. But we also call attention to the progress that still needs to be made to achieve gender parity.

On this day, we call attention to the need for increased access to high quality care for women all over the world and the role they play as health care providers in achieving that goal. See the photos below, taken at sites where Seed works in Malawi, Tanzania, and Uganda, showing women as both health providers – GHSP Volunteers, local faculty, and students – and as patients.
