Seed Global Health works with five training institutions in Malawi.

MalawiMzuzu University

Mzuzu University offers programs in health sciences across the fields of nursing, medical sciences, biomedical sciences, and ophthalmology. The nursing program, founded in 2006, aims to train motivated, educated, competent and professional nurse-midwives to help improve the quality nursing and midwifery services in both rural and urban settings in Malawi.

Kamuzu College of Nursing (KCN)

Kamuzu College of Nursing (KCN), founded in 1979, offers the following programs: BSc in Nursing and Midwifery (4-year program), BSc in Nursing (mature entry- 2-year program), Masters in Midwifery (2-year program), Masters in Reproductive Health (2-year program), Masters in Child Health, Masters in Nursing Education, and University Certificate in Midwifery.

University of Malawi College of Medicine (CoM)

The University of Malawi College of Medicine (CoM), the only medical school in the country, offers a six year medical degree program. Students begin their clinical work in year three, completing placements in medicine, pediatrics, surgery, and community medicine. In year four, students rotate through psychiatry, obstetrics/gynecology, family medicine and research. In years five, students go back through a range of specialties and in year six, they complete a rotating internship.

Daeyang University

Daeyang University opened as a diploma nursing school in October 2010 just outside of Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi. It is located within the premises of Daeyang Luke Hospital and provides nursing and midwifery education and training.

St. John of God College of Health Sciences

St. John of the God College was established in 2003 and strives to be a center of excellence in education, training, and research for the enhancement of quality of mental health services in Malawi and the surrounding region. Located in Mzuzu, it offers a BS in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing, a BS in Clinical Medicine (Mental Health), and university diplomas in Counseling and Nursing.
